Growing up in Los Angeles, I learned pretty early on about the secrets of movie magic. After a few trips to Universal Studios when I was 5, it was clear on the tram-ride that JAWS was fake because the sound effects and music were distorting. King Kong also didn't scare me because the texture of his body just seemed inauthentic (even then I was in editor mode). But there was a burning question; who was behind the scenes?
It was intriguing to me that entire teams of people could come together and create such amazing things for movies and television. My first job was editing news and immediately I knew that I was in the right place. Every day, our team would fastidiously put together several national and local newscasts. I was lucky enough to meet several people there who would not only become my dear friends but would also help me find consistent work and define my career.
Today, my work is mostly in TV, cutting everything from short-format variety shows and pilots to long-format documentaries to corporate sizzle reels to short films to promos for just about everything you can think of!
